Every time you flush the toilet you are using more water than most people in the developing world have to use all day.

by the way, i found that little statistic in Bill Bryson's African Diaries that he wrote to support the nonprofit CARE, which i am reading because i am GOING TO AFRICA! (even though it probably shouldn't get an exclaimation point until i actually buy a plane ticket)
i think that the planning stages of going to africa definantly deserve an exclamation point! and so do composting toilets! and absolutely peeing outside! especially when there is a slight breeze and shooting stars.....that is nice...
